FAQ
- What do I get when I pay for it:
- Where is ???: Reports, Service Alarms, Filters, and some other features will be put into upcoming versions. The current feature set is in place so users can start recording your MPG info right away. I'll get the other features in asap.
- Migrating from Palm MPG: Copy your MPG for Palm database files onto your iPhone. The Palm files are located in your Palm/username/backups/ folder. They are named MPG-Vehicles.pdb, MPG-Transactions.pdb, MPG-Lookups.pdb, MPG-Alarms.pdb, MPG-Filters.pdb. Copy these files into the /var/mobile/Library/MPG/ folder on your iPhone.
- Backing up your MPG data: The MPG database file are stored in /var/mobile/Library/MPG/. Copy them to your desktop to make a backup.
- Custom Vehicle Type Icons: You can copy your own icons to /Applications/MPG.app/VehicleIcons/ on the iPhone if you want to customize MPG further. The icons work best if they are 160dpi and 60x60 pixels in size, but just about anything should work.
- Filled Tank ON/OFF: The filled tank on/off switch on the Edit Fuel screen should be set to OFF if you don't completely fill up your tank. By telling MPG you didn't fill up your tank completely, then MPG will be able to calculate your mpg back to your last full tank so your mpg calculation isn't all out of whack.
- I want feature XYZ: The first thing to do is check http://bugs.catamount.com to see if it is one of the features that I'm already planning to implement. If it isn't then go ahead submit a feature request in the bug tracker and I'll evaluate it.
