CheckPlease 3.3 released. Fixed some bugs, added support for picking the currency, and added support for advertising banners. The ad company was claiming some applications where making decent money off in line advertising. Since I've had to cut prices of apps by 25% due to competitors pricing and since the volume of sales hasn't increased to make up for the cut in prices, I decided to try out advertising in CheckPlease to see how it goes. It will be a while before I know if it is worth it to put ads in the free apps or not.
In the meantime one user emailed me, and several posted negative reviews in AppStore about the me trying to make a living with inline advertising. Most of them simple are opposed to advertising and all of the info the advertisers track....which I can completely understand. They requested that I charge for an ad free version of CheckPlease so I've posted "CheckFree AF" to the AppStore. It should be available in a couple days.
